Leslye Headland is developing The Acolyte, which is described as a mystery-thriller. However, a key detail is the timeline placement. The series takes place in the final days of The High Republic era.
Actress Amandla Stenberg joins Lee Jung-Jae as the series leads. Well-known actors and actresses also join them to make up the cast for the next Star Wars series. Officially announced on May 4th 2020, The Acolyte is one of the most mysterious series. Not much is known about what will take place in the series. As mentioned earlier, the series takes place in a new part of the Star Wars timeline. Therefore a refreshing new look at Star Wars should hopefully be welcomed.

Joining the series leads is also Carrie-Anne Moss. She’s well known for her role as “Trinity” in the Matrix Series of films. However, she’s also jumping over from Marvel Television. She’ll be joined by Charlie Barnett, Dean-Charles Chapman, Rebecca Henderson and Jodie Turner-Smith. Additionally, Dafne Keen was revealed as starring in the series earlier last week.
