Finally, we’ve got a date for Foundation Season 3. AppleTV+’s big Sci-Fi drama, based on Isaac Asimov’s trilogy, is finally returning to our screens. It’s been a long wait since the dramatic and climactic second season, but we’re now on course for a third season. There is a lot to unpack. However, Foundation Season 3 will return on July 11th after nearly two years. But what is going on in the third season?
Taking place 152 years after Season 2’s conclusion, The Foundation has evolved considerably beyond its modest origins, whilst the Cleonic Dynasty’s Empire has weakened. Adapted from Isaac Asimov’s trilogy, Season 3 follows the continuing saga of a group of outcasts on their crucial mission to preserve humanity and reconstruct society during the collapse of the Galactic Empire. The Big Changes for Foundation Season 3
Alongside Jared Harris, Lee Pace and Lou Llobell, new faces are onboard for the third season. New Season 3 cast includes Emmy-winner Cherry Jones, Brandon P. Bell, Synnøve Karlsen, Cody Fern, Tómas Lemarquis, Alexander Siddig, Oscar-winner Troy Kotsur and Pilou Asbæk. They join returning cast members Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, Terrence Mann and Rowena King.
As these two galactic forces form a tentative partnership, a galaxy-wide menace emerges through a formidable commander known as “The Mule“, who aims to dominate the universe using physical might, military power, and mental manipulation. The outcome remains uncertain, with the fates of Hari Seldon, Gaal Dornick, the Cleons, and Demerzel hanging in the balance during this potentially lethal game of interstellar strategy.
Season 3 Inbound!
It’s not long until Foundation Season 3 appears on AppleTV+. The sci-fi drama’s third season will debut on Friday, July 11. The 10-episode season will premiere globally with one episode on Apple TV+, followed by new episodes weekly, every Friday through September 12.
Seasons 1 and 2 of Foundation are streaming globally on Apple TV+. The streamer is home to some fantastic content to watch while you wait.
