Leaked Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer Reveals Details!

Yes, another trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 has leaked online. If the initial teaser from Star Wars Celebration was not enough, another part has found itself online. The Leaked Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer does reveal details that we had not seen before. Additionally, might it give a hint to one big fan theory we’ve been talking about? Could we see Grand Admiral Thrawn make his live-action debut in The Mandalorian Season 3? Well, maybe, but let’s break down this trailer anyway. It’s worth noting however that this footage is unconfirmed currently.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is scheduled to release in February 2023. Where the leaked trailer originated from is currently unknown. However, many believe this has leaked from the Mando+ panel at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022. Additionally, Disney might have just confirmed this, accidentally. A post on credit mentioning “The Mandalorian Season 3 teaser” was removed from Reddit on Monday. It cited a “copyright claim by a third party”. It’s possible the Reddit post is the same clip that is now circulating on Twitter. If Disney is the one who filed the copyright notice, then they effectively confirmed the video as genuine, in some capacity.

    An Unexpected Familiar Face?

As pointed out by Inverse and Twitter users, one unexpected character appears. This would be the Imperial Communications Officer, portrayed by Katy O’Brian. In a blink and you’ll miss it moment, there is a split-second shot of the character checking over her shoulder. However, where have we seen her before? Well, she served Moff Gideon through Season 2 of The Mandalorian. Though initially, we thought she met her end during the attack on Gideon’s light cruiser during the season 2 finale.

Why this character might return is unknown currently. However, she could be a vital asset to The Mandalorians or the New Republic. We know from the other teaser trailer that Doctor Pershing (Omid Abtahi) is currently in the custody of the New Republic. However, what if this Imperial Officer is taken by The Mandalorians? It would raise questions as to what they are doing. Though speaking of that, both her and Doctor Pershing are seen together in the trailer. Fully expecting a prison break here I am just saying!

The Imperial Fleet And Then Some…

Yes, yes, yes! Imperial Star Destroyers are back in action it would seem! However, who are they serving? We’ll get onto that in a moment. For now, it does seem like more Imperials are going to be somewhat seen in The Mandalorian Season 3. As the Leaked Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer reveals, an Imperial Star Destroyer is in drydock on some industrial-looking planet. This is not the same class as Moff Gideon’s light-cruiser, but you can see what looks to be another Star Destroyer behind this one.

All in all, it looks like someone is either repairing or perhaps building a new Imperial Fleet. Therefore this would connect with the raging fan theories of Grand Admiral Thrawn being involved. We already got the hint of Star Wars’ best villain in the second season. However, might we see his arrival? Who knows! With the upcoming Star Wars: Ahsoka also supposed to be using Thrawn here and there, it depends on which show might reveal him.

Additionally, the leaked trailer does feature The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter running away from a new large cruiser. The design of this ship cannot be identified currently. However, some are speculating this could be an old type of Mandalorian Warship, or perhaps one from the old days before Mandalore became so peaceful under Duchess Satine Kryze.

    Mandalorian A-Plenty!

While we’ve of course got Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) running around in this Leaked Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer, we’ve got other Mandalorians also present. We’ve somewhat known that the third season would include other Mandalorians and that does appear to be the case. However, what are they doing and who are they fighting? It seems this might be something to do with the Armorer. She can be seen presenting someone with a brand new blue Mandalorian helmet.

But what is the deal with the Armorer? It appears the mysterious character is getting even more screentime in the upcoming Season 3 of The Mandalorian. However, do we know her identity, or rather will it get revealed? Many have speculated that The Mandalorian’s Armorer could be Rook Kast. This character first appeared in the Star Wars comics, such as Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir. Kast was previously affiliated with Death Watch and then Darth Maul’s Shadow Collective, which was seen in The Clone Wars.

Finally, the last scene of the trailer reveals a location we have been looking forward to. This would be the ruined Mandalorian city of Sundari. We suspected this location might be touched upon in the third season. Especially with Din Djarin heading back to Mandalore following the removal of his helmet. But what will he find there? It does appear to be critically damaged.

    Thrawn’s Arrival!

While not confirmed or directly hinted at in this trailer, we’re all awaiting the arrival of Grand Admiral Thrawn. However, is there a clue in this trailer? Yes, we covered it earlier in the article. Imperial Star Destroyers being built and/or repaired could be related to what Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) was up to in Season 2 of The Mandalorian. She was “The Magistrate” that Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Din Djarin took on to free the planet of Corvus. Additionally, it was revealed that she was a servant of Thrawn himself. Her personal security droids even wore his unique seventh fleet markings.

As revealed in Chapter 14: The Jedi, Elsbeth was instrumental in the construction of the Imperial Navy during the reign of the Galactic Empire. So, if you’re in need of ships, sounds like she is the best person to call up. However, does this signal Thrawn’s arrival? While I would like to say 100% yes, I don’t think that is the case. I mean one of the big questions right now is who is actually playing Thrawn? We’ve heard every rumour from Benedict Cumberbatch to Thrawn’s Star Wars: Rebels voice actor, Lars Mikkelsen.

    The Next “Big” Villian

Grand Admiral Thrawn is being set up as this “Thanos Style” Villan right now. Taking a leaf out of the Marvel book of how to create a cinematic universe may indicate to us when we might see the Grand Admiral. Therefore if this is the case, then we should expect his reveal in either the last moment of The Mandalorian or perhaps the Star Wars: Ahsoka series that is coming soon. It would make sense. However, it might be the case that Thrawn is this villain that stretches over most of the current Star Wars series.

    Conclusion

The ball is now in Disney’s court for when the Leaked Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer should release. However, with the trailer making its rounds on the internet via many channels and more and more people discussing it, will this force their hand? Who knows, Disney and Lucasfilm know the trailer will get people excited regardless of if it’s leaked or not.

With The Mandalorian Season 3 now expected in February 2023, many are awaiting a trailer for the upcoming third season. Especially as there hasn’t been an actual official release as of yet.
