First Look At Five Nights at Freddy’s Trailer

Finally, our first official look at the Five Nights at Freddy’s Trailer is here. While only a teaser so far, it gives us a glimpse of what will come. Additionally, several character posters have been released for the upcoming film. Blumhouse’s movie adaptation of the horror video game of the same name is due to release on October 27th 2023. The film stars Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt and Matthew Lillard as William Afton. As expected, the film will follow the same storyline as the game. Created by Scott Cawthon.

The plot centres around a troubled security guard (Hutcherson) starting work at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Therefore, expect a dark take on this typical fast-food restaurant setting. A description came with the Five Nights at Freddy’s Trailer. It says… “While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through,”. The brief trailer, teases below, gives an idea of the adaptation’s route. It beings by welcoming the new security guard to the family entertainment centre.

Details In The Five Nights at Freddy’s Trailer Teaser

While not a main trailer for the upcoming movie, we can see some key details. For example, while this looks to cover the first game, it appears to be a more fleshed-out experience. Additionally, scenes like the child in the ball pit reference other material in the Five Nights at Freddy’s Universe. Many fans are noticing the correct details that link with the game.

Most of the action in the trailer looks to be from practical effects rather than CGI. If this is the case, then it is an excellent choice. For the film’s sake, it will fit the cartoony pizzeria aesthetic that fans know and love and look better than CG. For example, the model of one of the animatronics looks super good when close up in the teaser.

However, a detail that has struck some fans the wrong way is the eyes. The animatronics eyes glow red in the character posters and the Five Nights at Freddy’s Trailer. Many want the classic black eyes of the characters to return. For example, some compare them to being a rather generic horror trait. Therefore, taking away from the Five Nights at Freddy’s detail. It’s possible it could be a detail that can be changed in post-production.

    Conclusion

The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie has had a long development road. Originally announced in 2015 by Warner Bros and produced by Vertify Entertainment and KatzSmith Productions, the film eventually switched hands to Blumhouse, now in association with Strike Entertainment. Meanwhile, the original video game for Five Nights at Freddy’s was released in 2014 and revolved around the animatronics of Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken and Foxy the Pirate Fox. The franchise has expanded in the last near-decade for other characters to join the universe.

Speaking about the film, Jason Blum said the following:

Five Nights at Freddy’s is more consistently asked about than any other film I’ve ever worked on, We’re committed to making Scott’s vision of the movie come to life. Rest assured, it will be and is worth the wait.

Universal Pictures will release it simultaneously in theatres and on the Peacock streaming service in the United States.
