Disney+ has announced that its original series, such as “The Mandalorian“, “Wandavision“, and “Loki“, will be released in physical form later in the year. This signifies the first time a Disney+ original series is available on a physical medium – Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Finally, fans can get The Mandalorian Blu-Ray for their home media collection. The Blu-Ray and 4K UHD discs will be coming out at the end of 2023. Fans now wonder if other Star Wars series, like Andor, will come to physical disc.
“Loki” will release on September 26th. Additionally, “WandaVision” will follow on November 28th. Finally, The Mandalorian Season One and Season Two will release on December 12th. With the rise of streaming services, like Disney+ and Paramount+, removing fan-loved shows, there is now an increased demand for physical media like this. Pedro Pascal recently returned for a third season of The Mandalorian on Disney+.
Special Editions
The physical copies will be available as Collector’s Edition 4K UHD and Blu-ray discs, packaged in deluxe Steelbook cases. They will also include collectable concept art cards and new box art designed by artist Attila Szzarka. The Mandalorian Blu-Ray Steelbooks feature cover art for each season.
In addition to the physical copy of the series, these editions will feature exclusive bonus content. For instance, “Loki” will include “Designing the TVA” with production designer Kasra Farahani and Tom Hiddleston, the Miss Minutes TVA orientation video, deleted scenes, a gag reel, and the “Assembled” documentary. Details of the special features for “WandaVision” and “The Mandalorian” are yet to be announced.
“Loki”, starring Tom Hiddleston as the God of Mischief, was the third Marvel Studios Disney+ series following “WandaVision” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” The series introduced the multiverse concept to the MCU and was the first Marvel Disney+ series to be renewed for a second season. The second season is scheduled to stream from October 6, 2023.

Pre-orders for all four titles will be available starting August 28.
