    Lenny Rush Joins Doctor Who in a surprise reveal from the BBC. Having just won a BAFTA at the age of fourteen, Lenny’s stardom is once again about to go out of this world as he takes on the role of “Morris” in the new series of Doctor Who, starring alongside Ncuti Gatwa. Doctor Who continues to hype up the incoming Series 14, led by Gatwa. For example, Millie Gibson will join him as the Doctor’s new companion. Additionally, well-known figures like Jinkx Monsoon and Jonathan Groff are set to appear in upcoming episodes.

    Lenny has starred in numerous shows, including ‘Dodger’ and ‘A Christmas Carol’. However, his starring in Daisy May Cooper’sAm I Being Unreasonable’ won him the BAFTA for Best Male Performance in a Comedy Programme this year. Now Lenny is about to join the team travelling time and space as he takes on his new role as Morris. No character details have been shared as of yet. An image of Lenny in costume has revealed a rather dapper style choice.

    Who Is Lenny Rush?

    Born on 18th March 2009, Lenny Rush is now a BAFTA award-winning child actor. Additionally, he recently received a breakthrough award at the 2023 National Comedy Awards. Rush started on camera via the CBeebies channel. First appearing in the docu-soap “Our Family“, then going on to play roles in both “Apple Tree House” and “The Dumping Ground“. However, he has worked with a Doctor Who alumni before. He was given a series regular role in the comedy-drama “Dodger” alongside Christopher Eccleston.

    Lenny Rush Joins Doctor Who for the fourteenth series. Sharing his excitement for joining the legendary series, Lenny said the following:

     “It’s an absolute honour to be part of Doctor Who, one of the most iconic shows on television and wow what a dream come true!”

    Doctor Who Showrunner Russell T Davies shared his thoughts on Lenny joining Doctor Who. He said the following:

    “This is what Doctor Who’s all about, brand new talent from the next generation, and no one’s more talented than Lenny! He joins the TARDIS team just in time for the Doctor’s greatest nightmare, so hold on tight!”

    As Lenny Rush Joins Doctor Who, fans can expect to see him in the upcoming Series 14. There has been no air-date given for the series yet. Both Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson continue to film the series. Recently both have been spotted on the streets of Cardiff, as well as on location filming in various locations in the United Kingdom.

    Doctor Who will air in November 2023 with three special episodes as the show’s 60th Anniversary headliner event. David Tennant returns as the 14th Doctor alongside Catherine Tate as Donna Noble. Ncuti Gatwa’s first episode as the Fifteenth Doctor will air over the festive period, while his series 14 will debut in 2024 with Millie Gibson. Disney+ will be the exclusive home for new seasons of Doctor Who outside of the UK and Ireland.
